Roadtrip Day 7

We woke up today in Cranberry Pennsylvania, ate our complimentary breakfast, and got on the road to Washington, DC to visit Georgetown University.  Traffic is crazy and it was pouring rain when we drove in.

Jamie's friend Torian was waiting there to give us a tour since she is studying there for the summer. What a contrast from Notre Dame! This university is in a bustling city full of people from all over the world. One street over is M street which is full of high end shopping and dining.

The university is beautiful and historic, with incredible views of the DC area. The landscape is beautiful and covered in huge, green, flowering trees. It was a little humid but not too hot.

Jamie stayed with her friend for more touring and a dinner downtown while we went to Cici's Pizza and then took a driving tour around the memorials. This was Rick's first time to DC so we tried to find a spot to park and walk around, but it was too packed. We saw Lincoln, Jefferson, Iwo Jima, Einstein, Washington Monument, the Capitol and the White House
....and some more random official DC stuff.
