Our summer roadtrip began Sunday in San Diego.
We passed Las Vegas on the first day, but we chose to stop at Buffalo Bills in Primm Valley instead. They have a huge roller coaster and an arcade, so we played for a couple hours, then got back on the road. Not to mention, we hit Las Vegas on our road trip last summer. This particular roller coaster has crazy memories for us as well, since Sami lost her pink razor off one of the turns a few years ago, and we ended up finding it shattered on the ground below. It still worked, but it was literally falling apart.
Rick and I will have to stay at the "T" soon though ; ) It looks beautiful! We left Nevada and drove through the corner of Arizona, then through the entire state of Utah. Below is the Utah sunset. It became more beautiful every moment. Even the kids commented on how amazing the landscape is here. Although Michael was a little nervous about the rocks that appeared unstable.
We finished our drive in Grand Junction, Colorado. In case you didn't know, Utah and Colorado are super mountainous, and you may get a little queasy if you are prone to carsickness. I guess that is why many people choose the southern route to the midwest, as opposed to going through the mountains. But we like to live on the edge. So far, I have driven zero minutes, and have taken one nap. Nice!
