One more post before ending this roadtrip blog. Today we returned home around 8:00pm, and everyone was so excited to be home. Here is the final mapquest of our College Roadtrip around the US. We drove almost 6000 miles, and over 100 hours.
We loved the landscape driving through Texas, New Mexico and Arizona today. Rick and I think it is important for the kids to see what America has to offer for them in terms of college, and places to live. Considering California's current economy, I'm not sure the kids will be able to begin their adult lives here and be able to make ends meet, and plan for their futures. There are so many wonderful places that offer a lower cost of living, but with the same lifestyle and culture we enjoy here in the San Diego area (although the kids all LOVE the beach). We are encouraging them to look for the best fit for them, and we will enjoy visiting them if they do choose to move away from California.
Hello, sister in Christ. So good to know you through your profile on the blogger. I am also glad to stop by your blog "Rediscovering Mommyhood" and the post on it of dated 10th August "Home Sweet Home". I am also glad to know your love for the Lord. Well I am in the Pastoral ministry for last 33 yrs in the great city of Mumbai, India a city with great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted and to give them new hope, life, purpose and future. We also encourage young people as well as adults from the West to come on a short term missions trip to work with us. We would love to have you as a family come on a short term missions trip or atlest send your teen aged children to work with us and have a life changing experience. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar Wankhede. Looking forward to hear from you very soon.
