You may have stepped in one of the many $1 or $.99 stores, only to find that the quantity for that price is super teeny. Well, if you take a little more time, you will find there are many name brands that cost less than the grocery store. Some examples from my latest trips are Sara Lee bread, Del Monte canned spaghetti sauce (a fave at our house), and mini Gatorade bottles 2/$1 (they are $.75 each at Wal-Mart). So if you haven't yet, give your local dollar store a shot and see how much you save on your favorite brands!
